15 Tourist Attractions on the South Coast Path

There are a number of tourist attractions along this route that can be a stopover for travelers to unwind during the holidays.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga said his party would prepare tourist destinations along the route.

“This southern route starts from Jakarta, heading to West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) and East Java,” said Sandiaga, quoted by Kompas.com (25/4/2022).

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has prepared travel plans to a number of cities, including Garut, Tasikmalaya, Pangandaran, Chilakap, Kebumen, and Purworejo.

“Continue to Yogyakarta and several regencies such as Pasitan, Blitar and Malang. Then finally we can reach Lumajang, Jember, and Banyuwangi,” he added.

Meanwhile, the South Coast of Java (Pansela) dominates among tourism facilities on the southern route of Java. The Pancel Line is a road network that crosses the southern coast of Java, according to the PUPR Ministry’s website.

Pansela connects routes that are parallel to the Pantur route, namely Cilegon, Anyer, Pangandaran, Yogyakarta and Banyuwangi.

This line is parallel to the southern coast of Java which passes through at least five provinces, namely Banten Province, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, and East Java.
